At AMOV we are working towards balance, sustainability, responsibility and giving back. These four goals are part of what drives AMOV forward. AMOV has a principle of 'Profit matching', which means with every dollar we earn, we wish to give one dollar to a good cause. We have had this vision since the very beginning – and as a reminder of this we have put a $ as well as a ♡ our neck label.
This year we will work to raise and donate money to the organisation DINNoedhjaelp, which is lead by Danish aid worker Anja Ringgren Lovén. Her organisation works hard to help the so-called ’witch-children’ in Nigeria.
In the poorest areas of Nigeria children live under the risk of being accused of witchcraft. If a child is accused of being a witch there is no turning back, and the child often dies from the extreme exorcisms that are demanded by the local community.
DINNoedhjaelp is working hard to help these children, and a big part of their job is, through education, to combat the ignorance and poverty, that is the foundation of the superstition and violence.
Besides being of great importance to the children in need, in December 2016 Anja Ringgren Lovén was also recognised as the world’s most influential person by international magazine Ooom.
We are proud to be able to present this new collaboration with Anja and DINNoedhjaelp. Through special offers on our collection and various initiatives at festivals and sporting events during 2017, we will raise and donate money to the organisation. By buying AMOV styles through our website, our customers are supporting the work of Anja Ringgren Lovén and the children in need.
